Camping Le Lac Bleu, Lake Annecy (Doussard): five stars, capacity and prices by source
Le Lac Bleu, in Doussard, is billed as the only five-star campsite on the south shore of Lake Annecy, but La Ferme de Serraz, in the same municipality, is also rated five stars according to annecy-ville.fr. Its capacity depends on the source: 161 pitches and 70 rental units according to ACSI, 150 pitches and 80 rental units according to a family guide. The distance to the lake is subject to a discrepancy already noted on this site: 800 m in one table, 80 m in the other.

The Camping International Le Lac Bleu, in Doussard, presents itself as the only five-star site on the south shore of Lake Annecy, whereas the annecy-ville.fr selection also rates La Ferme de Serraz, in Doussard, as five-star. It is also one of the lake's campsites whose figures vary most from one listing to the next, on capacity as well as on distance to the shore.
Here is what the available sources document, without choosing between them when they disagree.
When is Camping Le Lac Bleu open?
The 2026 season is over. Its dates: from 24 April to 20 September 2026 according to the campsite's website, from 25 April to 21 September 2026 according to the tourist offices, a one-day gap at each end.
The 2027 dates do not yet appear in the sources consulted: the 2026 season gives the order of magnitude, from late April to late September.
Reception is open 9am to noon and 2pm to 7pm in spring and at the end of the season, then 9am to 8pm without a break in July and August. For the three previous seasons, no source consulted publishes precise dates year by year.
What is the campsite's real capacity?
Two sources give two different figures: 161 pitches and 70 rental units according to ACSI, 150 pitches and 80 rental units according to a family guide. The gap is modest, but neither listing explains how it counts.
On the distance to the lake, the contradiction is sharper and has already been pointed out in our guide to camping on Lake Annecy: 800 m in one table, 80 m in the other. Some listings mention direct access or a two-minute walk, others 800 metres. What you actually get probably depends on your exact pitch within the campsite.
How much does a stay at Le Lac Bleu cost?
- Basic pitch (tent and car, two people): €26 to €45 a night.
- Mobile home in summer: €90 to €180 a night.
- Mobile home by the week: €370 to €1,560, up to €2,100 for the top of the range.
These prices put Le Lac Bleu at the top end of the lake's campsites, in line with its five-star rating and a water park more developed than the local average.
A five-star site is not always the cheapest option on the south shore: a hotel or a rental can be worth comparing for the same budget. The search for accommodation in Annecy lets you make the comparison.

Several guides present it as the area's only five-star site, which the rating of La Ferme de Serraz noted by annecy-ville.fr contradicts. Its strongest selling point remains a water park (heated pool, paddling pool, slides, hot tub) more developed than at most neighbouring campsites. Its location on the south shore, near the Bout du Lac nature reserve, adds to the case.
No source documents the site's history: neither the year it opened nor the date it gained its five-star rating.
What is not published about this campsite?
There are no figures on visitor numbers, occupancy rates or economic benefit for Doussard. The official listings do not mention possible overcrowding at the pool or beach in high season either, nor the detail of extras (boat mooring, spa, cleaning).
To compare with other options in the same area, Camping La Ferme in Lathuile and the Bout-du-Lac nature reserve place Le Lac Bleu among its direct neighbours.
The campsite's mooring bay gives direct access to water sports: the Annecy activities page gathers paddleboarding, kayaking and boat hire, with duration and price.
