Sandaya La Nublière campsite, Doussard on Lake Annecy: three sources, three closing dates

La Nublière is a large 4-star campsite at Doussard, at the southern tip of Lake Annecy, run by the Sandaya group. It is also one of the lake's sites where listings contradict each other most, on dates as well as capacity.

Here is what each source records, without deciding between them, and the extras whose price is published nowhere.

Where is the campsite, and how does it reach the lake?

The campsite is at 30 allée de la Nublière, Doussard, facing the Bout-du-Lac nature reserve, over about 11 hectares. It has direct access to Doussard beach, about 30 minutes' drive from Annecy on the Albertville road.

The campsite existed before Sandaya took it over, under the Campeole brand: none of the sources consulted gives a founding year or the exact date of the change of brand.

When does the campsite open, and until when?

Three sources give three different answers for 2026. Sandaya announces from 17 April to 1 November 2026. Haute-Savoie Mont Blanc Tourisme and a cycle touring website give from 26 April to 28 September 2026, a noticeably shorter season.

For 2027, Sandaya already announces from 9 April to 26 September 2027, a late-September closing in line with the tourist offices, not with its own November announcement for 2026. No source explains the gap: part of the services (reception, water park) may close before the campsite's final date.

Reception hours are 8am to 7pm in April and September, 8am to 8pm from May to August.

What is the campsite's real capacity?

Here again, the figures diverge. Sandaya announces 303 rental units and 54 pitches for tents and vans. An international comparison site, ACSI, gives 57 touring pitches and 257 rental units. An independent French guide gives 250 pitches in all.

These three figures probably do not count the same thing (pitches alone, a total including rentals, or a different scope), but no source explains it. We set out all three rather than picking one.

How much does a stay at La Nublière cost?

• Pitch: from €28 in low season, €43 in high season.
• Rental (cottage, lodge, chalet): from €66 in low season, €121 in high season.

These are headline prices, without extras. Sandaya's own price tables mention supplements for some services, including the wellness area (sauna, spa), without ever publishing an amount. The arrival window is 3pm to 8pm for a pitch, 6pm to 8pm for a rental.

What isn't published about this campsite?

There is no data on visitor numbers, occupancy or economic impact for the village of Doussard. Nothing either on which services (restaurant, spa, water park) actually stay open outside high season, despite a closing date shown as late as November in some years.

The guest reviews published by Sandaya itself are almost all positive, which limits the visibility of any criticism of crowding or noise in a campsite with more than 300 units.
